Fledgling

Our little baby dove decided to go for his first flight. And of course....landed in the doggie yard. We called a wildlife rescue place that we know through bio-pest and they told us we could pick it up and put it back in it's nest so the dogs wouldn't devour it. They said it was just a myth that you cannot touch birds. Birds do not have a good sense of smell....so they have no clue if you have touched their nest or their baby.

I'm just glad he is ok......for now.

Aw, he's so cute! Way to save him. I suppose you get to hear that lovely dove cooing everyday?

Good to know! And you've done such a great job of taking care of all the mommas and babies that have wandered into your life (cats, birds, ducks--almost--, and me).
