Dreaming

I've started dreaming again. I remember last year when we were looking at profiles my mind was just going crazy with ideas of how life would be with all these different children. Last night I had a dream where a little 3 year old girl woke me up because she was scared. She wanted to snuggle with me and Dan. It was the sweetest dream. I'm having a really hard time focusing on any one particular thing because I am day dreaming about having littles running all over the house. I'm loving it.

....Second verse, same as the first........

It is official. We are looking at profiles again. We have decided to move on with life and grow our family. It seems strange....we were doing this exact same thing at this exact same time last year. Almost like last year didn't happen. Like deja vu.

We are very excited :D

Audio Books

We are on our way to California again tomorrow. And here I am downloading audio books again. It is a difficult process to pick out books that you know nothing about. You don't get the hands on experience that you get at a library. But, it seems to take just as long. I have been sitting here for almost 2 hours. And I have just started downloading the second book. The upside....we will have something to do for the 20 hours it will take us to get to California and back again.

Remind me again....why we run a business out of California???

Moqui Cave

I really liked the name Moqui. I think that will be a new puppy name some day. (Don't tell Dan)

This was an entrance to just one of the many caves in the Kanab, UT area. We didn't get to go in due to it being closed. But, we thought the entrance was beautiful. Rumor has it that there are real dinosaur tracks in there. I'm kind of sad we missed that.

Zion National Park

We did get a chance for a Sunday drive. Zion National Park was only 30 minutes from our friends house. It was beautiful. The snow made it even better :D

Dan's favorite part was a very long tunnel that had many turns and windows. It was amazing that they had cut it out of a mountain. I have never been in a tunnel that had curves. It was pretty strange how dark it was and then you see a light ahead...not the end of the tunnel....just a window. It was awesome.

We are the weird kind. We never take pictures of ourselves. We only have landscape photos. Oh well. At least we brought our camera this time.

Utah Temples

Utah has some great church history. It has some beautiful Temples....and a lot of snow. But, it just didn't compare to the beauty and history of Nauvoo. We will probably never have a Christmas like the one we had in Nauvoo a few years ago. But, we will keep trying.

This is the St. George Temple. It reminded us the most of Nauvoo. It was the next Temple built after Nauvoo.

Salt Lake Temple. We had a great view from the Joseph Smith building. We had dinner on the top floor. It was snowing pretty hard. The view was breathtaking.

Bountiful Temple. We only drove around this one. Everything was locked up for the holiday. It had an amazing view of the Great Salt Lake. And the houses around it were incredible. I was trying to picture the lifestyle of everyone that lived around in that area. It was beyond me.

Snow for Christmas :D

We went on vacation because we wanted snow on Christmas. We were going to visit my brother in Spokane. But, at the last minute things changed. Which is a good thing, because Spokane didn't get the snow.

Utah was very snowy. We even got to drive in a blizzard. Not one of the exciting things on my list. I can honestly say that I used every muscle in my body during that drive. We saw 4 car accidents in less than a half mile. It was crazy. But we were safe.

And our first night in the Salt lake area...we got 6" of snow.

Mission accomplished :D

Un-decking the halls

I have been so claustrophobic since we returned from vacation. All the decorations were closing in on me. So, we have officially put Christmas away. But, my house looks so empty that I want to redecorate.....or re-arrange. I feel so sorry for Dan this time of year.

One good thing is....I have started to get spring fever. (a little earlier than normal) So at least I can put all my efforts to the outside of the house. That way Dan can have a bit of a break.

Resolutions

This year we didn't even talk about resolutions on New Years Eve. Do people do them anymore? Last year I was pretty pessimistic about them. Labeling them as 'promises we don't intend to keep'. I did pretty good this last year though. I wrote in my journal every day.

I think everyone makes a food or fitness resolution every year. I wonder what the percentage is of people who follow through with that? I can imagine that snack sales in January are at an all time low.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to set myself up for failure. I guess I will. This year I hope to accomplish.....getting a passport. If I do nothing all year long...I hope this is one thing that will get checked on my list.
